Indian pianist-composer Aman Mahajan plays improvised music as a medium of exploration, expression and exchange. His work is often reflective, influenced by a diversity of traditional and contemporary forms from around the world, and inspired by a search for unity and connection. His 2019 solo piano album REFUGE explores ideas of home, paying homage to inward journeys. Mahajan has performed widely on the Indian music circuit, and internationally at venues including Moods (Zürich, 2020), Murszene (Graz, 2019), Jazzwerkstatt (Graz, 2018), Jazz Utsav (New Delhi, 2017), EUROPAFest (Sinaia, 2015), Festival of Sacred Music (Thiruvaiyaru, 2015), Goa Jazz Festival (Goa, 2014), IndiEarth XChange (Madras, 2014), Rhythm & Blues Festival (Kasauli, 2014), goMAD Festival (Ooty, 2013) and MAD Festival (Ooty, 2012).

Sunaad Anoor is born into a family of renowned musicians from Bangalore India. He is the 5th generation musician from his family. His great great grandfather and his great grandfather were proficient Veena Players. His grandfather was a very well known violinist in the country and his father and uncle are percussionists and his mother is a classical Indian vocalist. With this background, there was nothing but music running at his home. Sunaad learnt violin for a few years but was very much inclined towards percussion. He parallel started to learn the percussion instrument Mridangam from his father Vid. Anoor Dattatreya Sharma. He was fascinated by the Kanjira when his cousin Vinod Shyam Anoor showed some of the techniques to play this instrument and asked him to play it in a concert soon after. That was when Sunaad was really inspired to take it up and practice it! He then continued his advanced studies in Indian Rhythms with his uncle Vid. Anoor Anantha Krishna Sharma. He observed all the masters of Kanjira and got inspired and practiced it until today. He has played kanjira as a solo and as accompaniment in more than a 1000 of concerts from the past 11 years. Sunaad has worked with many symphonies, ensembles, film scores in different genres of music. His music has the core foundation of Indian Karnatic music but is also influenced by genres like, Hindusthani, Jazz, Latin and folk music. He is known for is spontaneous playing on stage and has a sound of his own which has developed in these years. He has performed all over India with very eminent Musicians from India! He has also performed in Germany and Singapore.

Bruthuva Bhushan Caleb is a well-known bass player and has been performing extensively for over 5 years. He has performed with Vijay Prakash, Arjun Janya, Kunal Ganjawala, KS Chitra, amongst other leading musicians. He was part of the chorus group for four songs of the Kannada film ‘RangiTaranga’. He’s also worked for the movies Gaalipata 2 and Ekalavya. He has completed post grade 8 from the Trinity College of Music, London.

Jeoraj started learning Indian percussion at the age of 6 and moved to Drumkit at the age of 17. He took his initial lessons from Joeboy Vincent from Kerala and did his advanced studies in Drumtech, UK. He works as a session drummer for various Pop, Rock, Jazz and Fusion bands in India. He has been training students for 15 years and regularly conducts workshops and clinics for various Music Schools across India. He has performed with some of the eminent Indian and International musicians like Dr.L.Subramaniam, Madhav Chari, George Brooks, A.R.Rahman, Harris Jeyaraj, Shashank, Amit Heri, Christian Galvez and Shea Welsh among many others.

Varijashree Venugopal is a special artist in every sense of the word. She is a multi-faceted Carnatic singer and flautist who can effortlessly dabble into classical, playback, jazz, Ghazals and other music genres. Born to musician parents Vidwan Sri H.S. Venugopal and Smt. T.V. Rama, Varijashree was able to identify about 200 ragas at the age of 4. Having trained in one of the strongest classical forms of music – Carnatic, Varijashree finds her own space and unique language by beautifully fusing different genres of music, yet retaining the authencity of her musical roots. These cross-cultural experiments have led to her music singles, and cross-cultural musical collaborations as a composer and song-writer for Films, Tele soaps, Theatre productions, Albums, etc. Varijashree has collaborated with artists such as Lesle Lewis, Hariharan, Louiz Banks, Rajhesh Vaidya, Siva Mani, Stephen Devassy, Ricky Kej, Praveen D Rao, Sandeep Chowta, Christian Galvez, Victor Wooten, Bobby McFerrin, to name a few. One of the founder members of the South Asian contemporary cross-genre quartet Chakrafonics, Varijashree is recognized for her ability to scat Jazz compositions using the Indian Sargam system (solfège), a technique she terms Carnatic Scat Singing.

While firmly rooted in the Indian Carnatic genre, Apoorva's music takes journeys through her many other influences including jazz, flamenco, European classical music, and the blues. Apoorva has performed and shared close musical relationships with legends like Zakir Hussain, John McLaughlin, Shankar Mahadevan, and Bombay Jayashri to name a few, and is also featured on the Grammy-nominated album Shuruaat by the Berklee Indian Ensemble. Apoorva was awarded the 70th annual BMI Student Composer Honourable Mention in New York. She graduated with a Masters in Contemporary Performance and a Post Master's Fellowship from Berklee College of Music. Worth mentioning is Apoorva's sincerity in exploring and fusing western harmony with her roots, steering her in a direction that could truly be called world music. Intuition has been featured on Rolling Stone India, Business Standard, The Strad, The Hindu, New Music USA, Deering Banjos, Deccan Herald, The New Indian Express, and Rock Street Journal. The album has been premiered live at venues such as London Darbar Festival, Berlin Tagore Centre, Bangalore International Centre, G5A Warehouse Mumbai, Medai Chennai, The Blue Room, Museum of Art and Photography, Blue Hat Solutions, and Fandom to name a few.
